At First Methodist, we have the oldest continuously running preschool in Moultrie. We look forward to meeting you and your child. The purpose of the First United Methodist Preschool is to provide your child with educational experiences and quality care in a loving Christian environment. In this atmosphere, we want them to enjoy themselves while they learn to get along with others, use good manners and to show respect for others and their property. For information or to register your child, call the church office at 985-2139. Registration begins in February for the following fall. A non-refundable registration fee is required and equals the amount of the monthly tuition. We offer classes for two, three, and four year olds with class size limited to assure quality instruction for each child. Children in the three and four year old classes must be potty trained to attend.
A typical day at preschool will include story time, crafts, recess, music, refreshments, and age appropriate lessons on colors, numbers, letters, animals, seasons, holidays, and health. Once a month the children are taken to the Moultrie Library for a special story time, and many other field trips are planned to enhance a particular unit, or just for fun! Parents are welcome and encouraged to be a part of the preschool experience.
